Question I don't understand Wordpress...

Hi all,

I hope this post does two things.... one start some activity on this board and two help me understand a little better about this blog program.

I have been using Wordpress for my hosting blog, how-2-host.com, but I spend more time editing after I post then writing the original post! How come none of my post look the same after I post them? Pictures move, I can't figure out where to change fonts, line breaks don't always show up....

I am new to the program and it seems to have a lot of great features so I am assuming its me and not WordPress, does anyone know if there are any external submission tools instead of the built in posting area?

Thanks for any help and advice in advance

I've used wordpress before, it's the easiest to use. Unless you have mods added that are conflicting with the format, all posts should look the same.

You could DeActivate all of your plugins and Activate them one at a time while doing test posts in between to ensure that none of the plugins is affecting your format. If it continues after you've tested them all you may also need to update to the newest wordpress version or stick with what you are currently doing. Hope this helps you.

I despise wordpress, although I use it. While it works, it has many php security flaws.

I like Wordpress a lot, it allows people that don't know very much coding to instantly set up a blog. Personally I know html and some php but the ease of use that this CMS offers makes it worthwhile. Especially with the right plugins enabled you can really build a great looking site.

Hope you figured out what was causing you the issue, you could also attempt to use a different theme and see if the problem still occurs.
