Is Yahoo better than google - 1800Webmasters

Many people beleive that google is better than yahoo but i think yahoo is better because it is easier. What do you think???

I think Google is great and is clearly the most important player on the web right now. But I have has this sneaking suspicion that much of Googles leadership comes from its brand and positioning and not form superior services. So I have resolved to get from my Google addiction and try the rest of the web, starting with the obvious choice, Yahoo.

It seems that Yahoo tries harder. They try harder to open and inclusive, of course they have to try harder because they are number two, at least in the mind of web users when it comes to search, and which is the starting point for most everything on the web today.

I used to use yahoo mail but the spam filter was just horrible so I opened a gmail account. Gmail's smam filter is pretty much perfection. I get 0 spam.

Also, I believe googles infrastructure and capabilities is far greater than that of yahoo and thus there search engine will also be better because of the brute force power google has to expand there search algorithm.

Yahoo could possibly catch up one day, mabey they have.. I havent used yahoo search in ages. I do however still use Yahoo messenger on occasion ;p.

They did pretty good w/ the messenger.

I remember the days when Yahoo used to be the King of the net. One of my classmates in C++ class (highschool) explained me why Google was better. He simply loaded yahoo's homepage and told me "look at all these links, now look at google's homepage".

Yahoo's search results sometimes are not even relevant

They are both helpful and useful search engines.They have their own features for every marketers.It depends on every person how useful they are in your work or business.
